Solar Photo Voltaic Systems
The principal of this technology is that solar pv generate electricity from the sunlight.
The electricity can be used to charge batteries or the system can be connected to an inverter and connected to the mains supply of the building.

GRID CONNECTED
- Can be used in buildings which have a mains supply

- During darkness and peak demand the balance of power is drawn from the grid

No connection to the mains electricity supply is required - Batteries are charged during daylight hours to store power
- Can be used in rural areas for households or other equipment
- Can be used where it is not cost effective or impossible to connect to the electricity network
- A diesel generator may be required to back up the system during peak demand or in poor light conditions
